Welcome to the launch of the Persian Rug Gallery blog. Our goals for this blog are to inform our clients about what is going on at PRG as well as trends and information from the world of rugs, cleaning restoration and interior design. We are open to comments, questions, and suggestions so please comment, email or call us anytime.

We are not trying to sell you a rug in this blog, it is all about fun and information, which is very much like the experience our clients have when they shop at our gallery. We ran an ad in the 1980’s which read “You paid for me the rug is free.” You can say this has been out mantra in some way or another since. You can buy a rug anywhere, you can get a rug washed at numerous places, but there are very few rug companies left with our knowledge of style, quality, history, color, and design. There are very few rug cleaners, washing rugs by hand and restoring them to their original beauty and integrity, and using 4 generations of hand washing experience to make them look as good as they can look.

I envision this blog like I envision a client walking by the store on a sunny Saturday afternoon and deciding to pop in to browse and ending up getting an hour long master class in rug appreciation and care. You may clean a rug with us someday, and you may even buy a rug from us someday. Or maybe you’re not local, and the information gives you the confidence to buy a rug at another company close to home with the knowledge that you are buying the correct style and quality for your space. Hopefully, we give you the confidence to ask the right questions of your local cleaner to make sure the proper steps are taken to clean your rug so as not to damage it. We feel that the more educated you are, the better reputation our industry has, the more people will be interested in buying, cleaning, and restoring their high quality rugs.
